Albright College Athletics
Albright
College, founded in 1856, is located on a 118-acre suburban campus in
Reading, PA. Albright has an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students;
the diverse student body represents 26 states and 20 countries. The
ratio of student to faculty is 12:1.
Albright has over 60 major programs of study to choose from; 45 percent
of Albright students graduate with combined, interdisciplinary or multiple
majors. Albright students have access to outstanding learning, research,
social and athletic facilities. Albright's newest facilities and equipment
include:
- Two nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers;
- A state-of-the-art multi-media lab;
- An optical physics lab with lasers, fiber optics, and photodetection
technology;
- A state-of-the-art language lab and teleconferencing
center; and
- A molecular genetics facility.
The athletic teams at Albright College compete in the NCAA Division
III Middle Atlantic Conference; Albright is also affiliated with the
Eastern College Athletic Conference.

A variety of club and intramural sports are also available.
Recent Highlights:
- The Albright Lions football team was ranked 24th in the October
5 edition of the American Football Coaches' Association poll. The
2004 edition of the Lions are 4-0 including wins over Lycoming and
Wilkes, picked to finish first and second in the MAC preseason coaches
poll. The Lions are currently ranked third in the country in passing
offense, 10th in the country in total offense, and 11th in the country
in scoring offense. The Lions lead the MAC in all three of these categories.
- Four members of the 2004 baseball team were named to the 2004 First-Team
All-Conference.
- The Albright men's basketball team recently returned from a 10-day
trip to England and Ireland. The Lions played four games during their
trip, and returned home with a 3-1 record.
- The Albright men's cross country team finished second out of 19
teams at the Cabrini Invitational run at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.
- Three members of the 2004 Albright women's softball team were named
to the Commonwealth Conference All-Conference team.
