Delaware Valley College Athletics
Delaware Valley College is located in central Bucks County, Pennsylvania,
about 30 miles north of Philadelphia and 70 miles south of New York
City. Bucks County is rich in historic tradition, having been settled
under grants initially made by William Penn. An enrollment of 1,400
students assures small class size (average class size is 18 students)
and interaction with professors. DVC’s undergraduate division
provides more than 35 bachelor programs leading to Bachelor of Arts
and Bachelor of Science degrees. At Delaware Valley College, you will
gain at least 960 hours of relevant work experience in your field.
The mission of Delaware Valley College is to provide students with
an opportunity to reach their highest potential and to acquire, in an
intellectually stimulating environment, a quality education emphasizing
hands-on experiential learning in agriculture, arts and sciences, business,
and graduate studies. For more than 100 years, Delaware Valley College
students have been gaining practical knowledge. From its beginnings
as an agricultural school, Delaware Valley College has evolved into
a comprehensive, four year institution of higher education that combines
first-class classroom teaching with hands-on instruction through our
many living laboratories.
The athletic teams at Delaware Valley College compete in the NCAA Division
III Middle Atlantic Conference.

Recent Highlights:
- Delaware Valley College's last-minute victory over defending Middle
Atlantic Conference (MAC) champion Lycoming last Saturday not only
kept the Aggies undefeated, but it also helped them move up in all
three, Division III polls. Delaware Valley (6-0, 5-0 MAC) jumped up
seven spots to No. 16 in the American Football Coaches Association
(AFCA) Division III Poll and also moved two spots to No. 19 in the
D3football.com Top 25 Poll. The Aggies also went from 20th to 19th
in Don Hansen's Football Gazette Top 40.
- Delaware Valley College junior left fielder Brandon McCabe has been
named a 2004 NCAA Division III Third Team All-American by the American
Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
- Delaware Valley College freshman point guard Isaiah Pinckney was
selected by the Freedom Conference men's basketball coaches as the
Rookie of the Year.
- Delaware Valley College crowned a school-record four All-Americans
and finished in fourth place at the NCAA Division III Championships
hosted by Loras College. Senior Josh Housekeeper reached the 184-pound
championship finals and finished as the nation's runner-up in that
weight class. Barry Wise and Andrew Helms each placed third at 133
and 197 pounds respectively while Jason Shivak finished sixth at 174
pounds.
- Four different players scored goals for Delaware Valley, including
Kristin Cottman's record-setting tally as the Aggies downed Division
II Philadelphia University, 4-2. Up 3-1 in the second half, Cottman
scored with 11:24 remaining for her 37th career goal. It broke the
mark of 36 set by 1983 graduate Diane Bradley. The senior added an
assist in the game to up her career scoring total to a record 86 (she
broke Bradley's mark of 73 points earlier in the season). Cottman
has nine goals and four assists for 22 points this season.
