Flagler College Athletics

Founded in 1968, Flagler College is a 4-year, coeducational, residential institution located in St. Augustine, Florida. The College is four miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The main building, Ponce de Leon Hall, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The campus also includes several other historic structures, a 789-seat auditorium, a gymnasium, a men's residence hall, a 58,900 square foot library and a radio station. A 19-acre athletic field is located two miles from campus.

With a student body of roughly 2,000, there is a 21.92 to 1 student to faculty ratio, and the average class has 21.8 students. Ninety-four percent of classes have fewer that 35 students. The following majors are available to students: accounting, art education, business administration, communication (broadcasting, broadcasting/PR, or PR/journalism), deaf education, elementary education, English, fine arts, graphic design, history, Latin American studies-Spanish, liberal arts, philosophy-religion, political science, psychology, secondary education, sociology, Spanish, sport management, and theatre arts.

The athletic teams at Flagler College compete in the NAIA Florida Sun Conference.

Recent Highlights:

  • • The men’s basketball team won the 2003 Sun Coast Conference Championship and John Randolph was named a NAIA Division II Third Team All-American

  • • Men’s golf won the 2003 Florida Sun Coast Conference Championship

  • • Men’s soccer players Wayne Reilly and Donny This were named NAIA 3rd-Team All-Americans

  • • The following women’s soccer players were named NAIA All Americans: Katie Croakman, Laura Bundy, Lynned Perez, Tamara (Tami) Gillan and Jessica Potter
