SchoolCalifornia State University, Fresno Athletics
Fresno State is one of the 23 campuses of the California State University, one of the largest systems of higher education in the world. Its 327-acre main campus and its 1,083-acre University Farm are located at the northeast edge of Fresno, California, at the foot of the majestic Sierra Nevada range. Fresno State is within an hour’s drive of many mountain and lake resorts and within a three- or four-hour drive on Los Angeles and San Francisco. Fresno State has an enrollment over 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The average class size is 20; less than 2 percent of classes had an enrollment over 100 students. The student to faculty ratio is 24:1. Undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered in the Colleges of Agricultural Science and Technology, Arts and Humanities, Craig School of Business, Kremen School of Education and Human Development, Engineering and Computer Sciences, Health and Human Services, Science and Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Division of Graduate Studies. The athletic teams at Fresno State compete in the NCAA Division I (I-A football) Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
