College of St. Scholastica Athletics

The College of St. Scholastica, located in Duluth, MN, was founded in 1912 by a group of Benedectine Sisters who offered college courses to six young women. Today the College educates more than 3,250 men and women and has graduated more than 14,000 alumni.

The 186-acre campus is set on a ridge overlooking Lake Superior. The beautiful St. Scholastica campus provides a small, friendly community that enables each student to participate in a variety of activities. A 13:1 student-to-teacher ratio makes it easy for students to seek individualized academic assistance and encouragement. The College offers 17 intercollegiate athletics programs and more than 50 student clubs and activities.

The College offers 65 undergraduate major and minor programs of study in the following schools: The School of Arts and Letters, The School of Business and Technology, The School of Education, The School of Health Sciences, The School of Nursing, The School of Sciences and The School of Extended Studies. The College also offers graduate programs in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Media and Technology, Teaching, Computer Information Systems, Exercise Physiology, Health Information Management, Management, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.

The ‘Saints’ of The College of St. Scholastica compete at the NCAA Division III level in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), except men’s hockey. Men’s hockey competes in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA).
